Our Team

Deanna Pomfret Deanna Pomfret

USAT LogosDeanna has coached fitness enthusiasts, runners, swimmers and triathletes since 2005. She is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach, Road Runners Club of America Certified Running Coach, Certified Functional Strength Coach, US Master's Level I & II swim coach, and Owner of Athletic Pursuits LLC. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Health and Wellness and is a research fellow in sports nutrition.
Deanna helps adults with personalized coaching and training for general health and wellness and for special events like triathlons, marathons and anything her athletes dream up. She works with athletes to implement positive lifestyle changes, helps them learn new athletic and sports related skills and builds athlete-focused, periodized and progressive training plans and group training programs.  

RRCA Logo Deanna also presents for various clubs, hospitals and symposiums on the science and art of training and coaching. She is a freelance writer for USA Triathlon and a regular contributor to their e-newsletter. She blogs about general health and wellness, training and living with autoimmune disease.     Before becoming a coach Deanna worked in the work life industry as an operations analyst. Creating holistic programs for health and wellness has always been a part of her passion and profession.

Cindy Regnante Cindy Regnante

Cindy is a USMS-certified ALTS Instructor. Cindy comes to triathlon and swim from a running background that included 2 trips to the NCAA Div 3 Nationals in indoor and outdoor track. Feeling the need to challenge herself as an adult athlete, Cindy entered her first triathlon in 2009 without really knowing how to swim. Through books and videos (mainly Total Immersion), she taught herself how to swim freestyle.  

After finding Athletic Pursuits and attending clinics and weekly workouts, she is now consistently in the top 10-15% of her age group exiting the water all the way up to the half ironman swim distance of 1.2 miles. Cindy has a passion for helping all swimmers, but particularly new and/or anxious swimmers, become comfortable and fluid in the water so that they can enjoy going for a swim just as much as they enjoy going for a bike or a run (or maybe even more)!


Susan Dwyer

As an avid tennis player, Susan started casually running to increase her endurance on the court. She soon found running became her newest passion, and loved the benefits it provided to both her mind and body. This new 'habit' and lifestyle soon became life changing. She became passionate about health and exercise, and wanted to learn more. Susan became a NASM certified personal trainer, a NASM certified weight loss specialist, a TRX qualified trainer and a RRCA certified running coach. She is continually trying to better educate herself in both health and fitness, and is constantly incorporating healthy changes for herself and her family in hopes her healthy behavior inspires healthy behavior.

Susan has completed several marathons in addition to numerous shorter distance road races. And, with the help of Athletic Pursuits swim clinics, she gained the confidence needed in the water to successfully complete 3 Ironman races. She currently serves as a coach on a large Boston charity run team helping both new and experienced runners prepare for all distance races. As a mom of two busy teenage daughters, she understands the stresses of balancing life, family and training. Her goal is to help others live a healthier lifestyle, and no matter what your goal is she is there to help you move forward, and to enjoy your journey.


Sue Parke

Sue Parke is a RRCA certified Run Coach, an AFAA certified Group Fitness instructor and a SCW certified Personal Trainer. As a mom to one, she has made a small living by teaching group fitness classes and training clients while being able to stay home and raise her daughter. She teaches a wide range of classes from Bootcamp, Spin, Barre, Tabata, Metabolic Conditioning, Strength Training and Muscle Cardio Intervals.

Sue is an avid runner and completed her first race in 2010, the Baystate Half Marathon. Since then she has run countless 5ks and 10ks, 7 half marathons and she ran her Boston Marathon in 2016. She is incredibly passionate about running and fitness and helping people discover their true potential and reach their health and fitness goals.
